Still not convinced that your business needs a web presence? Hesitant to jump on the Information Superhighway? Neo-Luddites take note: a new survey by BURST! Media may change your mind.
BURST! surveyed more than 6,000 web users and 77 percent of respondents said that they used the web for shopping. More people than ever now use the web to make purchases or to seek out product-related information online. Even more compelling––63 percent of that group said that the Internet was their primary source of information about products. All together 49 percent of all online users surveyed rely on the Internet for information on potential prices.
And it’s not simply online-only businesses that benefit from website surf-shopping. Forty-five percent of those surveyed reported that they use the web to find information about brick-and-mortar shops where purchases are eventually made.
So even if you don’t want to take the time to put up an online store you should use the web to feature your products and services, and direct consumers to your brick and mortar presence.
