Handyman

I am one of those unfortunate people who fixes everything with a hammer. More often than not, I wind up with a bigger problem than I started with. That’s where you folks who have a talent for household repairs come in. By starting your own handyman business, you can provide salvation for the hopeless people out there, like me, who lack either the time or talent to make their own repairs.
A successful handyman needs to offer a diverse set of services that fills the gap left by professional contractors. Handyman services may include basic plumbing and bathroom work such as toilet and faucet repair, caulking, and tile maintenance. A handyman may outfit a home with smoke detectors and child security devices such as gates and cabinet locks. He might fix dry wall, paint, and install crown modeling. On the exterior, a handyman may offer snow removal, fence repair, and deck maintenance. The list of potential services can go on and on.
To start a handyman business you first and foremost need to be, well, handy. You will need a truck or trailer and tools. You will also have to market your new business to build a customer base. This is definitely the type of business where word of mouth can be an incredible asset so you will need to do quality work and deliver your services on time.
To all you handy people out there looking to start his or her own small business, all I can say is “please.” I am one of thousands of overly busy homeowners who is willing to pay for your help.
